A lovely salad or fruit bowlby the Swedish makers of Orrefors Crystal in the Eden pattern, designed by LarsHellsten [who designed for Orrefors from 1972].

It holds 2 litres. The bowl isin large leaf with a stem through the middle terminating in a little handle at thenarrower end. There is a lot of detail in the body of the bowl ; with itsvarious veins and textures. The sides of the bowl are slightly irregular inshape. The interior is smooth and the exterior is textured, giving it athree-dimensional quality.

The bowl stands 5 inches tallat its highest point, measures about 10 inches across the top opening, andweighs just over 3 pounds. As with allcrystal it makes a bell like tone when struck gently.

The bowl is in excellent,like-new condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs ofwear or use. There is a small round ‘foot’ on the base of the exterior which ispossibly to do with the moulding process.

I can vouch for theprovenance of this bowl as I bought it for my Mother in 1960s. It isin its original box and was used as ‘best’.
