For the fly fishing enthusiast, I have a perfect condition ORVIS BAMBOO IMPREGNATED FLY ROD.
It is a seven and a half foot rod with two tips, the original sleeve, the original aluminum case, the original hang tag booklet. The serial numbers on the tips and handle all match, #36483. It has #12 ferrules.
This rod was fabricated on November 26, 1963 by Calvin Skinner and George Reid. (This information was provided by the Orvis Bamboo Rod Info Center. How many companies do you know that keep records that well!!)
The rod is in perfect condition. It has never been repaired and all of the guides are original. Rods of this caliber are selling for over $1200 on . Please feel free to check for yourself. This would make an extraordinary Christmas gift for the angler in your life.
