This is a set of pins by Berwyn, PA artist David Gerbstadt. They were made in the mid 1990s. The 3 in the center row are hand painted designs attached to bottle caps. They include fish bones, a school of little critters and his classic cat. The pins in the top and bottom rows appear to be made using a button making machine. There are brown spots where the glue used to attach the picture to the button has aged and discolored. The buttons are pinned onto the mat board and can easily be removed intact. The piece was professionally framed. Size is approximately 8\' x 7\'.
