A stunning example of Austrian Art Glass.
Blue Papillion (also known as "oil spot") iridescence
on atransparentgreenglass ground.
Expertly overlaid and carved Sterling Silver decor
of Art Nouveau stylized scrolls and foliage.
10 1/8" (26cm) tall slightly flared barrel shape.
Stamped "STERLING" mark on silver near base.
Ground and polished pontil. Unsigned,highly
attributed to Loetz. See condition details below.
Circa 1900 to 1910.

10 1/8" (26cm)tall, 4" (10cm) wide at center.
Condition:
Very Good condition. No chips, cracks, repairs to glass.
Some losses to silver overlay. Specifically the long thin
stemon the right near the top. (seen in pics 7 and 16).
Also six small, 1/8"-size triangle shaped
cornersof foliage leaves.(seen best in pics 19,20,21)
Small dent to silver base ring,to the right and
below the sterling mark. (seen in pic 9)
Surface scratches to silver appropriate with age.
