Another estate piece we acquired some time ago.Handmade lace.Two dancing ladies in early costume and each with small castle form church or home in background, with central motif of birds in tulip-inspired floret detail. Quite sheer in terms of the over piece. Appears to be silk. Has scattered soiling. Handwritten note verso is quite old as well but provides no clue to age or origin ofpiece itself--only family descent.
