A pair of German portrait paintings depicting a man in a tavern or possibly a work room, late 19th /early 20th century. The man appears to be doing tests on wine and beer in order to get the best tasting beverage.
The decorative gilt wood frames are in good condition overall. On the frame of the painting of the man standing and holding a wine glass, there is a loss of two decorative gilt gesso ornaments, 2 1/2\" high and 1\" high.
