Magnificent pair of Jennings Bros bronze clad bookends, circa 1920-1930, signed JB 2146 on the back of each book end. Each beautiful sculpturemeasures 4\" widex 2 1/2\" deepx 4.5\" high. This vintage set of bookends isin excellent vintage condition with a deep brown patina. The detail is amazing. They are extremely heavy and at first, I thought they might be solid bronze. But, it\'s my understanding that Jennings Brothers, a Connecticut company, produced these Lion of Lucerne bookendsusing their patented bronze clad process. These vintage bookends have a great patina.
These are extremely handsome and would make a striking addition to your library or your office. Think about these as a Father\'s Day gift.
