Interesting works, we present a pair of portrait studies, a male and female, possibly actors, en grisaille watercolours, both monogrammed by the artist lower right, TF or FT.  Both works date c1920s or 30s in our opinion, although we have not inspected either painting outside its frame.  As sketches, they are well executed, painted from life/in situ and closely resemble Shakespearean actors, one a remarkably close likeness to Richard Burton.  Our research on the artist is inconclusive, with several to mind, well worth following up given the quality of these portraits.  Presented in very good overall condition in a good quality frame, this painting looks fabulous displayed.  OFFERED IN A FIXED PRICE sale, WE WILL CONSIDER OFFERS FOR THESE PAINTINGS
