A superb large and immpressive pair of late 19th Century Chinese Elm armchairsEach with a carved panel within their back splats wishing the owners of the chairs \'Double Happiness\'
Originally, they may well of been wedding chairs, but were certainly made together as a pair and with the ancient symbol carved into the backs, designed to wish good luck, fortune and happiness for their owners
Traditionally constructed, a nice natural colour and in excellent condition
Obvious and good signs of wear on the feet, arms etc and a few chips and losses in places (see photos) but generally in super order, very tight in the joints and ready to use
Approx dimentions: 41 inches tall x 22.5 inches wide x 17.5 inches deep and the seat height 21.5 inches
Chairs are located in the Midlands, but delivery can easily be arranged - please get in touch.
