This fine pair of antique Victorian table salts measure 55mm (2\") across x 40mm (1.5\") high with the spoons measuring 55mm (2\") long and a total weight of 67 grams. The open salts are fully hallmarked for solid English sterling silver London 1898 with the makers mark for Robert James Chaplin & Sons with the spoons clearly original to the set from the same maker and dated 1892. They are well made with alternate patterns to the fluting and are in good antique condition with one salt clearly having had more use than the other with the difference in the internal gilding. A fine pair of Victorian open salts in good antique condition ready for use and display.
