The mark on the reverse of these beautiful ceramic decorative plaques is L&Cie. Would seem a French mark, but myresearch could not find anything about that particular maker\'s markit so I cannot give more info.I think they are meant to mimic French Limoges tiles.They are lovely, detailed and in perfectcondition I believe they are European,vintage, and I canpicture them in someone\'s bath or bedroom tiled alcove. Quality is good, high quality design,romantic figures in the Alphonse Mucha style-beautiful bluehighlights, definite embossed design. Wish I had a place for them!

This plaques measure 6\" wide by 12-1/2\" high, and are a over 1/4\" thick.The manufacturer\'s mark on the back of each is shown in the last twoscans.
