China Chinese Pair of \"Da Ji\" Double Gourd Wall Plaques Qing Dynasty Qianlong Style Qing Dynasty ca. 19th century. The plaques each molded as a flattened double gourd supported on a simulated wood stand and tied at the waist with a long flowing green ribbon, the upper section of the body decorated in magenta and gilt with a medallion enclosing the characterda,all reserved on a trellis-diaper ground and encircled by five gilt-enameledbats forming the \'wu fu\',the lower section similarly decorated with the characterji,all surmounted bya gilded bat at the white-glazed mouth. The plaques each measure 14 inches high without the frame X 9 3/4inches wideX 3/4 inches thick, the frame measures 20 X 14 X 1 3/4 inches (both are framed one was removed to photograph) .Acquired at sale in New York City.
