This pair of brass candlesticks is in the classic Adam style & date from around 1780. Both the quality & colour of the brass are really lovely & I have hand polished them to illustrate these features. Rest assured, they do stand straight & do not lean, which is down to my total lack of photographic skills. There is a tiny bit of damage tothe corner of onethe bases (see photos 4 & 5). Considering that they are over 200 years old & have seen a great deal of practical use, I think that they have survived well. They stand 16cms tall, the bases are 8cms square & they weigh 586 grams as a pair.
