These cans are used and have some defects. Their cosmetic condition is pristine and like new but the motion sensor mechanism is broken in the large trash can (returns to open every time) and the small trash can works but the battery cover lid on the bottom is missing. You could attempt to fix the large trash can or just use both as regular trash cans. Both open and close just fine when done manually.
