ESTATE ANTIQUE PERSIAN MOTASHAM KASHAN CIRCA 1880 ORIENTAL COLLECTOR\'S RUG ( SELLING IN AS IS CONDITION) Size: 4.8 x 6.4. approx. What a fine rug here. This is a real fine beauty with outstanding silk like wool. A very this rug being sold as is or as found. The rug is extremely old and quite fragile. Worn to or near the foundation. The one end shows loss with slits as in the photos taken of that very end. That end was reinforced with a burlap strip (dry rot on corners at the one end and along that end border) and adhesive as seen in the same photos. There are other dry rot slits, mostly near the center of the rug. The rug is best framed and put up on a wall for view. Could be restored as well, but not a good idea for traffic areas. One may want to cut the last minor border off to save on restoration ( if you don\'t want complete restoration). This is a very fine woven piece for the true collector. Help yourself here.
