MARVELOUS True Vintage, Mid Century Modern, LARGE Piero Fornasetti Fish (Grand Pesce) Aluminum Metal Tray, Fornasetti Paper Label, Brown, Cream, Gloss Finish, Made in Italy, ca. for age! Some vintage wear with age as paint nicks, scratches, scuffs (please view pics). Few paint chips on edge of rim bottom (see pic) One long surface scuff/scratch top top as shown. The few scratches shown on the piece are hard to see in display and capture in photos, unless turned in different lighting, or the tray is sitting flat (as you can see in a few pictures). This is in beautiful condition for age, clean. Amazing vibrant colors considering age. ~ WHIMSICAL work of art by Mid Century Modern Italian artist/designer Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988)! Piero Fornasetti was an Italian painter from Milan, sculpture and interior designer & decorator. A highly collectible and important designer of object art & furniture of the 20th Century. Fornasetti collaborated on many pieces with Italian designer Gio Ponti. This is a wonderful, highly collectible aluminum tray \"Grand Pesce\" (fish) design. True VINTAGE, NOT a recent reproduction. It appears to be hand-painted design, brushstrokes seen, under high gloss finish. Back of tray is black with original paper label. Paper label has some wear at one edge as shown. A nice large attractive piece makes a spectacular display. Rare find and work of art for the collector! Wonderful & fabulous Mid Century Modern display by a great Italian designer.
