Original Production Background from the Disney film Pinnocchio. This is from the scene in which Geppetto\'s boat is inside Monstro and everyone is trying to keep water out of the boat. A stunning piece with a great lighting effect coming from the window. The back of the piece has numerous signatures and 2 dates...8/30/39, and 9/1/39...the day World War II broke out. A visually stunning piece, as well as historically significant. And when considering that the vast majority of art from the film has been lost, and the fact that there are roughly 1000 cels for every original background, an original background form Pinnochio is a truly rare and desirable piece.
Note: There is a cel overlay with tape on it attached to the background. The tape visible in the first image is on the CEL and is not on the background. The second image shows the background with the cel lifted.
