(A) Repair: (Recommended: Cost friendly)
If there is any manufacturing error, the product will be sent back to manufacture for repairing. Please note that, there is no difference between a brand-new product and a repaired product when it comes out of the factory.

(B) Replacement:
We also accept return for replacement in following conditions:
- Product should be brand new, unopened, unused and intact condition in original packaging.

Answer: If the product is brand new, unopened, unused and intact condition in original packaging and within the return period (30 days after receiving the product), we will accept the return. However, we will charge the handling charge (10% of the purchase price). And for cancellation, the shipping fee will not be refunded. We do apologize that after return period any return will not be acceptable.
Q 2: My purchased product has the manufacturing error, but the return period has been exceeded. Can I return the product for repairing within the warranty period?
Answer: We will still accept your return with in the warranty period for repairing from manufacturer. However, buyer must send the product at their cost. We will also charge the re-shipping fee.

Platinum produces a variety of Maki-E pens, including lacquer carving, pearl inlay and pens with the Kanshitu-rough volcanic-type surface. In 1919, Syunichi Nakata, a collector of imported fountain pens, opened a small fountain pen shop in Okayama, Japan. His shop became very successful in a short period. In 1924, he moved to downtown Tokyo, adjacent to several pen manufacturers, and officially named his company Nakaya Seisakusho. The company exceeded earlier success and grew to nearly 80 employees. Later in 1924, Nakata changed the company name to the Platinum Pen Company. Platinum initially sold pens via mail order to office workers and teachers in small villages throughout Japan.
