Vintage porcelain Biscuit / Cookie Jar. We are pleased to present this recent estate find for your consideration. It is a Biscuit or Cookie Jar decorated in a floral theme, with a British Crest with two Lions Rampanton one side. It is marked on the underside suggestive of a Chinese maker, but it looks to us like a faux Chinese mark, likely an indication of a non-Chinese origin. The Jar measures 10-3/4 inches high, measured to the top of the gold ball at the center of the lid. It is 4-3/8 inches in diameter at the rim (outside edge), while the overhanging lid measures 5 inches in diameter at its widest point. Jar and lid weigh 2 pounds 2 ounces.

Condition: Very good. The main body has no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. The lid has a tiny shallowsoft edged chip on the outside edge of the inner lip on its underside. It measuresapproximately 1/32 inch across and isnot in a location where it will be seen. It is at the 11 o\'clock position in picture 3, but it will be hard to spot because it is so small. There is a small splash of gold paint on the underside of the lid near the edge that might look like a hairline, but it is just paint. Both pieces have somepatches of dirt from storage, and the underside of the base has a few remnants of museum wax, although we removed the majority that was there when we found it. The interior of theJar is quite clean overall, and there are no signs of prior use.All pictures show the actualBiscuit / Cookie Jarthat you will receive.
