This is a 1950 printed postcard captioned on back \"RAILROAD ENGINEERS of America - Jackson, Tennessee - April 29, 1950\". Also on the back is the circular logo for the POST CARD COLLECTORS CLUB OF AMERICA and \"P-39-50\". This was the 39th card issued by this club. The \"50\" refers to the year \"1950\".

This postcard was published by Bob Hendricks, the founder of the Post Card Collectors Club of America (PCCCOA), to help promote the club and postcard collecting. This club, in addition to publishing postcards like one, issued a newsletter for several years. Printed on the back is \"A BH PUBLICATION, 2642 Ellendale Place, Los Angeles\" I think \"BH\" stands for Bob Hendricks.

There were approximately 65 postcards published by Post Card Collectors Club of America from 1949 to 1953. The standard issuage was 1,000 cards, so these cards are somewhat scarce even though they are only about 60 years old or so. These are quite a challenge to collect today. I collected these for twenty years, and was never able to complete the collection. For those interested in the history of U.S. deltiology, this club and the postcards it produced during a five-year era, are an integral part of that history. After the PCCCOA ceased, it took more than a decade before a boom in postcard collecting began that would see the development of numerous local area postcard clubs, including many of the well-known clubs that exist today. By 1980, there were close to 100 postcard clubs in the U. S.
