PR 2 Vintage Mid Century Tiki Rattan Bamboo Lamps Shades Tropical Hawaii Retro:

For your consideration is this gorgeous pair of vintagemid –century, tropical-style bamboo orrattan table lamps with matchstick shades. They are not marked. Theyare in very good, vintage condition. Theymeasure approx. 29 ½” high. The diameterof the shades is approx. 16 in.at the bottom and 14 in. at the top. Thebases measure 4 ½” square. The legsspread to a width of 10 ½ in. The height of thesquare part of the base alone is 13 ¼”. The tips and legsare made of bamboo, but the base is covered with some type of woven grass cloth orstraw.

The shades are stunning, but they do have someimperfections on the insides, as shown in the photos……water spots and uneveninner lining surface on one, and several small spots on the other. These do not show on the outside of the shades. They are made of some type ofmatchstick straw or wicker, not sure what it is exactly. Because it is a natural material, the weavevaries and looks different and uneven in some places, but this is notimperfections. It adds to the natural charm ofthe lamps.The harps are brass that has tarnished.The finials are made of bamboo. Re-wiring and/or inspectionof these lamps is highly recommended. Because I live in a very rural area, it may take me aday or soto find time to drive to a nearby town that has a shipping/packingservice. If the buyer wishes to do so,he/she may pick them up at a pre-determined location in McRae, GA, about 80 mi.south of Macon and 40 mi. from Dublin. Means of shipping will be determined after the lamps sell, and Ihave the address of the buyer, and it\'s taken to a shipping service. However I was forced to choose a means of shipping (Parcel Select)in order to list the lamps. That means may change after the sale. The flat fee of $100 for shipping was a guestimate by a shipping service employee about a month ago. I\'ll try to find the least expensive way. Sorry, but that\'s the best I can do in advance of the sale.
