In 1983 the husband and wife artist team of Pratt and Larson opened a small studio to produce art tiles with the aesthetic appeal and quality of the early twentieth-century art tiles. This beautiful tile is an example of what they were able to accomplish. Today their Portland Oregon company has grown to be one of the leading decorative tile producers in America. This crazed tile, which is marked Pratt and Larson B on back, probably dates from the late eighties. Measuring at just about 6\" square, it has no chips or cracks. There is some yellowish staining in the green glaze on lower edge, and some kind of brown stain on left bottom edge as seen in third and fourth pics respectively. There is also an inch-long stutter scratch in upper left corner of front, visible in last two pics, which could have resulted from the firing process rather than being an actual scratch.
