A beautiful sterlingsilver potpourri / lavender box. It is hallmarked for London 1908 with the makers marks being William Comyns. It has a beautiful shape and finely pierced lid - it would have sat upon a ladies desk, or dressing table, and contained rose petals, lavender, and the like. It is in super condition being free from dings, splits, holes and repairs - just the odd tiny mark. The lid fits tight and secure. It measures almost 2 inches (5cms) across by over 1.25 inches (3.6cms) tall and weighs 24 grams. A very pretty piece.
