This is an extremely rare item from my collection which I don\'t want to sell, but I need to make some money this month and so I have been taking things out of the collection to sell them. It is a \'Vac-u-mite\' vacuum-operated vacuum cleaner, and it will fit any car with vacuum wipers very easily, and can be fitted to cars that don\'t have those by tapping into the vacuum system that works the windshield wipers, or by tapping manifold and adding a \'vacuum take-off pipe\'.
It is from the 1930s, and I have only ever seen two others in my life - one that had a worse box than this one, which I sold a few years back, and a red and cream one which I still have but am not selling (yet, at least!).
It is in excellent condition with a little deterioration to the box, but apart from that it\'s superb. There is some discoloration to the ivory-colored areas of plastic, but that\'s simply where the black parts touch it inside and the black has leeched into the ivory plastic - it was a common feature of early plastics, and the other one that I sold had done it too. The fitting kit and instructions are both there, and really, it doesn\'t get better than this. It\'s not cheap but it\'s good, it\'s rare, and I don\'t want to sell it. I hope you like it.
