Up for your review is a vintage Platinum RIAA Videoaward for the soundtrack to Prince’s 1984 hit movie “Purple Rain!” These videoawards are harder to find than record awards and were issued to certify salesof more than 50,000 units or retail sales of $2,000,000 for the “Purple Rain” homevideo.Please see the detailed photosfor more information!

This rare video award does not have the original strip plateor RIAA seal. This award was part of a set we acquired nearly 20 years ago andwe do not know why the plate was removed. This Prince “Purple Rain” award isauthentic, except for the plate – which has been replaced with (what appears to be) matting and a metal plate. The award is featuresa metal frame with a beautiful chrome finish, it has the original New YorkFrame & Picture manufacturer tag on the back and it measures approximately 13”x 17” x 1.” This award is still a nice collectible, a great conversation pieceand we are offering it with !CONDITION:
This great award is in Very Good condition and the colors are still quite vivid.It is pre-owned and has been in climate-controlled storage for many years. Itshows little color fading and there are some minor nicks/scratches but nothingsignificant.
