11.5\" tall amber-colored cylinder-shaped TOTALLY EMBOSSED antique western BRANDY - WINE - WHISKEY bottleJames Durkin from Spokane WASHINGTON.This is a very early hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it well back into the late 1800 - early 1900 era.

Bottle FULLY embossed: \"JAS. DURKIN / WINES & LIQUORS / WHOLESALE & RETAIL / DURKIN BLOCK / MILL & SPRAGUE / SPOKANE, WASH. / TELEPHONE MAIN 731 / 32 OUNCES\". Now THIS is a FULLY embossed bottle!!!
Condition: This bottle is in PRISTINE SPARKLING CLEAN condition NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. PLEASE see pictures for idea of overall condition. *When we first got this bottle, the embossed lettering was painted white for easier viewing. While it was nice for viewing and photo\'ing, as seen in the first picture, it also took away from the overall SPARKING CLEAN condition of the bottle. So after the first photo, it was washed clean, and shiny clean, clean, clean, did it come out, as seen in the 2nd picture!
Age: An early hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. possibly late 1800\'s, more likely early 1900\'s.

This is a lot of embossed bottle here. It has eight (8) lines of sentences embossed down the front! We have seen these with both WHISKEY and WINE labels, yet is also sports a brandy neck and lip finish, so it could of contained fine liquor as well. James Durkin was a colorful character around down town Spokane Washington a good century ago, where the \"Durkin Block\" was located, as embossed on this bottle. He had little pumpkin seed flasks put out with embossed STARS on them that carried a one (1) ounce sample shot of his liquors and the labels on them states something to the effect that \"If your children needs shoes / then do not buy my booze ... \", so he stayed in good favor with the wives of many a-hard working Spokane Washington man over 100 years ago.
