Spectacular, antique, door knobs made by, "Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co." of New Britain, CT during the 1880\'s. Each knob is made of of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze--not plated iron. The pair comes with 1 standard 1/4" thick spindle, 1 securing pin, and 1 setscrew.

The knobs have an Aesthetic (Eastlake) style pattern on both front and back sides. The designs are complemented by a lovely, honey-brown patina which we opted to leave. There is verdigris in the recessed areas, in between the details. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny or at least with a uniform finish, we could clean and polish the knobs either completely or partially, foran additional $10--let us know after the sale if you are interested.

Considering their age, they are in excellent condition! One knob has a couple of light scratches on its back side, but otherwise, both knobs are free of breaks, cracks, chips, dents, or deep scratches. Their casting is still sharp and shows few signs of wear.
