Pair Antique Limoges Sevres Cobalt Blue Gold Porcelain Vase Signed C. Maier Pair of Sevres porcelain vases are surrounded by gold gilt over a cobalt blue ground depicting hand painted colonial scene.
Base bears the Sevres mark in blue under glazed.
Each vase measures approx. 9.5\" in height.The beehive mark is under the glaze. One vase scene is titled “Amor am Pranger” or Love Contained. I cannot read the name of the other vase. (see pictures)
The scenes are surrounded and framed in elaborate raised Gold gilding.
Artist C. Maier is signed in the lower right side of scene.
Ground color is cobalt blue

I believe the mark on the bottom is a beehive. (see pics) Not sure because it is covered by the nut and washer holding the vase to the base.
Both vases are in excellent condition. I see no damage or signs of restoration. There are no chips or cracks.
Gold gilt has some areas of wear from age.
