This is a pair of antique glass knife rests.
They are from MURANO near Venice in Italy... typical of that area with the giveaway LATTICINO twist of red and white glass rods in the top...... they glass is pressed - molded and looks to be hand finished on the bases and polished.

The pair is in good collectable condition, there are signs of age and use wear including some small chips and nibbles on the edges of the glass.
They are heavy glass.

Both knife rests measure approx. 90mm x 35mm x 26mm.
