Item: Pair of beautiful Japanese Satsuma Vases decorated with cherry blossoms outline in gold. Part of the beauty is the negative space of the design.

The Satsuma Shimazu mark and signature are in red ink on the bottom of each vase. Ibelievethese to be late 19th century or early 20th century but I am not an expert.

Measurements: approx. 6 \" H each:

rim diameter approx 3 1/8 in; base diameter is approx 2 7/8 in

Condition: Pre -Owned. Local estate find. Very faint hairline on the back of one. There are abrasions/wear to the gold on the rims. No chips.
