Pair of Old Sheffield Plate Armorial Silver Covered Entree Dishes c1800 Georgian:

Pair of Georgian-era fused silverplate entrée dishes with gadroon-molded lids, each bearing a heraldic symbol of what appears to be a crown above an arm holding a dagger. No maker\'s marks are apparent. Each dish measures approximately 10\" x 8.5\" and the total height is a little under 6\" to the top of the handle.
Condition: showing wear typical for age (about 200 years!) including scratches and areas of exposed copper (or lead, along the edges). The pieces have been gently polished but there may be residual tarnish. The gadroon areas have been touched up a bit with plating-polish since copper lines were beginning to show.
