Adorable pair of vintage hard vinyl, vintage KEWPIE dolls, by Cameo, each having large \"googly\", side-glancingeyes that glance to each other (girl has inset glassine eyes,* boy has painted eyes).They measure almost 11\" tall andwith each having very well molded features including little \"pug\" noses, chubby cheeks and watermelon-shaped, smiling mouths. They have wonderfully detailed, molded wispy hair over each of their ears, at the back of their necks and molded topknots of hair.He has long painted eyelashes and eyebrows and those distinctive, \"starfish\" shaped, chubby hands and knees. Both have swivel heads andflat feet to stand. The girl is an earlier, heavier vinyl and wears her original Kewpie,pink sunsuit, wide pink chest ribbon, original nylon socks and white leatherette shoes with ties & is complete with her original Rose O\'Neill, \"Kewpie\", Cameo, gold wrist tag. Each is signed on their head: ©Cameo and on their torso and he is also incised on his feet: KEWPIE © JK with a working squeaker. *Glassine eyes are shown in last photo (book photo). Theymake a wonderful addition or start to your Kewpie collection. They also make great decorations for parties, showers and wedding festivities. Both are in very good condition with no breaks, chips or damages, no stains or chew marks (girl has a few small smudge marks as shown, boy has a small pink mark on back of hishead) and no odors as they come from a smoke free home. These earlier Kewpies are getting hard to find.
