Charming pair of mid-19th century spill vases with seated figures of a man and woman mounted on the front. French \"Old Paris\" porcelain, with incised numerals on the underside. The vase itself is glazed porcelain, while the figures are unglazed bisque. Behind each figure is a painted landscape scene, typical of this type of porcelain.
5.75\" tall, and 4.75\" wide at the top. The figures measure appx. 3.5\" tall.
The vase with the male figure has a hairline on the back wall of the vase, running down from the rim. There is a small chip on the inside lip of the front of the vase. Both show wear to the gilding, and the accent paint on the figures. The scenic painted scenes are in excellent condition. Nice surviving pair.
