Pair of EARLY Eames Zenith Elephant Hide Grey Fiberglass Side Shell Chairs:

Two very early, rare elephant hide grey side shells from the Zenith era (pre-Herman Miller). Originally fitted with an X base. Chairs have some condition issues. One chair has cracks at the flex point on both sides, and one just has the crack on 1 side. All 3 cracks have had repairs done to them, with varying degrees of success. 1 in particular feels like it’s going to need to be repaired again, or otherwise just use it with the crack. Please see pics closely for condition issues.

Also, some splotchy coloration over some sections of the chairs (particularly around the repairs), and some repair epoxy buildup, one chair has some scratches under the seat.

In spite of this, they are beautiful, and early examples of the elephant hide grey fiberglass side shell chair.
