For sale is a great Pair of Vintage mid-century framed artworks by Francois. Signed by the artist, \"Francois\" in the upper margin. Both feature blue and white execution of a city andharbor scene. Framed and housed behind plexiglass. The frame is a light wood, finished with a silver/black coating. Artwork appears to be acrylic on paper. Existing hardware on the verso & in tact - ready to hang.
From what I was able to gather about the artist, \"Francois was amodernist street artist in Paris, France where he knew Roger Etienne. They bothdeveloped their own styles trying to out do each other. Francois spent most ofhis time painting children and happy whimsical Parisian figures with a page outof a local newspaper fitting into the picture somewhere.\" Added research shows that Francois was particularly known for his collages and gouache/watercolorimages of the sixties (ca 1960\'s).

Condition: Good Vintage: Artand Frames have been well preserved for their age. Obvious wear to the wood frames, as the black & silver metallic finish is worn around the edges, some nicks along edges of both wood Frames. Happy to take more pics as requested.
