Pair of Georgian silver Tablespoons. London 1821 and 1823:

We offer for sale thissuper solid silver pair of tablespoons. Made with good gauge silver. London assayed fiddle pattern. Made by Thomas Heming and carrying hallmarks for 1821 and for 1823. The finials are lightly engraved with entwined letters which are difficult to decipher - could be RL. These spoons would make a wonderful present or addition to any silver collection and could still be used for their original use being good quality attractive and highly usable at the dinner table.

Hallmark: both spoons are marked with the lion passant, leopards head for London, kings head, one with letter f the other h.

Maker : both marked with TH for Thomas Heming

Year: 1821 and 1823

Size: 9 ins long

Weight: 173 gms

Condition: No visible splits,repairs, majordents or dings being in overall good condition for their age. The hallmarks are extremely crisp and clear. The silver is in overall good condition with light surfaces scratches and wear commensurate with age giving the wonderful patina of antique silverware.These are antique silver items in overall very good condition for their nearly 200 years of age.
