for special electrical properties, and dispersed in a ceramic matrix.

Estey Organ of Brattleboro, VT purchased thousands of Globar Varistors from Carborundum in the mid \'50s for their
Electronic Organ vibrato developed by D. L. Bonham and for their Guitar & Accordion Amplifiers produced by Magna Electronics.

This rod style varistor is no longer available and the only alternative is a larger disc style produced in the UK (OEM cost $32.60 ea.)
