Museum quality pair ofJapanese late Edo (mid 19th Century)Porcelain vases with elephant heads- shapedhandles. The Vaseshave fine satsuma style hand-painted designsdepicting 5 samurai on front on each vase and 8 immortals in various positions on opposite sides oneach vase.

The sides of the vases have landscape scenes with flying birds on each vase and landscapes with flowers and flying birds on the other sides.

There aresymbolic decorations and fine gold paintings throughout the vases, andGreek-key elements on top of the vases.

The Vases haveno losses and no wear.
