Display here is a Pair of Gilded ItalianBaroque bergere chairs, dated; early 20th Century. With rich andbold ecclesiastical architecture of the Italian reformation, very dramatic withsweeping S-curve, Cartouche crestand exaggerated fullness of scale andproportion. Roll outward arms held by full curved legs and terminating withscroll leaf feet. These chairs very substantial and heavy, the patina is mutedand does display the ages of these pieces (see photos closely). Upholstered incotton muslin fabric. Condition: Expect normal wear commonconsidering the age of the chairs, nicks chipping from the gilt on the legs andbase of the feet (see photos). Cottonmuslin fabric shows some natural lines on the grain of the fabric ……verysubstantial and stable.
