Pair of Schmidt & Co Victoria Austria Royal Vienna Style Portrait Plates C. 1904Pretty pair of porcelain with fancy Art Nouveau scrollwork molding along the scalloped edge. Nicely decorated in the Royal Vienna style with a portrait of a woman in the center. Both plates have a green , yellow and brown background. One of the plates has a Renaissance woman with long curly dark blonde hair. She is wearing a white and blue gown. The other plate has a portrait of a blue eyed woman with her red hair pulled back in a bun. Both plates have gilding along the edge. Both plates are marked on the bottom in red Victoria Austria with a crown. This mark was used by Franz Schmidt\'s Victoria Pottery between 1904 and 1918. Both plates have wear to the decoration and gilded , more so to the one with the red haired woman, but no chips or cracks. Please see pictures for details.
