Up for sale is this vintage Panasonic TechnicsQuadraphonic 8-Track Tape Deck Player/Recorder. Model Number RS 858-US, Serial Number RK303895. I purchased this unit brand new back in the 70s and it\'s seen little use. It plays and records regular and quadraphonic 8-track tapes and worked great before getting stored in the closet for many years. I\'ve not been able to fully test it but when I put the only cartridge I have into it, the gauges light up and I hear the motor running. The light display for track numbers comes and goes but the lights on all other gauges work. Also, I couldn\'t test the recordingability but the button for recording locks & unlocks as it should. It could use a good internal cleaning and the general condition of case is fair showing mostly scuff marks from storage, but still shows well.
