Up for sale is this Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5038G. This is a limited edition of 500 pieces. The timepiece is housed in 36.5-mm polished and finished 18K white gold case. The bezel features pearl decoration and a gold crown with the PP logo. The watch has a snap-on case back with sapphire crystal window and black crocodile leather strap.The functional Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5038G is powered by a mechanical movement with automatic winding using Patek Philippe Caliber 240 Q with 27 jewels, 21,600 vph, 46-hour power reserve and off-center ball bearing microrotor in 22K gold. This watch is water resistant to 25 meters.The rugged Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 5038G also features a black dial with white lance hands, white-lacquered Roman numerals, railway minute tracker and three sub-dials: month and leap year sub-dial at 3 o\'clock position, date and moon phase display at 6 o\'clock position, and day and 12-hour AM/PM indicator at 9 o\'clock position. A sapphire crystal is used as is typical of high end timepieces. This watch was originally bought at Essential Watches for $50,000 in mid 2014. The owner ended up damaging the crystal and a small amount of moisture got into the watch. We bought the watch and sent it into Patek Philippe for service and repair. It is still in the heat sealed package it was shipped back in and is in incredible condition. Watch comes with the original box, the box it was sent back from being serviced in, original certificates and paperwork detailing service. Watch was bought in May of 1997.
