A spokeswoman for Peacocks said: \'The popularity of this dress has been amazing.
\'Itis significant that many fashion editors, who usually turn up tofashion weeks wearing established designers, such as Chanel or MarcJacobs, chose this year to wear a dress from Peacocks.
\'Pearl has always been adamant that she wanted to make clothes forwomen with real figures, so they are designed for women with busts andcurves. The range is popular because it is so comfortable andflattering to wear.
\'Pearl has been meticulous about her collections - she goes to thefactory to oversee production and chooses the fabrics and laces herselfto make sure her clothes have that authentic vintage feel.

Miss Lowe, a former singer with several indie bands in the 1990s,began designing bespoke, handmade dresses for upmarket store Libertysin 2001.
But she decided to collaborate with Peacocks earlierthis year after receiving requests from ordinary women who couldn\'tafford the expensive price tags of her designer collection.
Inspiredby the glamour of Hollywood legends, Louise Brooks and Greta Garbo, therange, which is available in sizes 8 to 18, is intended to bringvintage, designer styles to the masses.
Miss Lowe said: \'I looked to great women of the past for inspiration. I’ve always adored the classic style of Hollywood legends, in particular Louise Brooks and Greta Garbo, and wanted to create a collection that captured their magic and femininity.
\'I selected fabrics that look authentic and didn’t cut corners when it came to adding details such as vintage pleats and belts to ensure the collection retained a vintage feel. I’m so excited to be bringing timeless Hollywood style back to the High Street.\'
