Pere Marquette Railroad lot: two documents (one signed) 1895 & 1909 - P F Gaines:

This lot consists of two old railroad documents, one of which is signed.
The documents are for the Pere Marquette Railroad Company
(also known as the Flint & Pere Marquette Railroad Company) This company operated in the Great Lakes region in both
Canada and the United States.
(1) This is a signed letter dated July 22, 1895.
This letter is typed, and is addressed to J. J. Archer,
a railroad agent based in Columbus, Ohio. This document is signed by P. F. Gaines, who was a commercial
agent for the Pere Marquette Railroad Co.The letter is about 11\" by 8\", and is in good condition,
with some moderate wear. The letter has one peculiarity, which is that there is an imprint
of another typed letter on the back of this letter. The ink of the
second letter has bled through this letter to the extent that you
can read it. The second letter was also addressed to J. J. Archer.

(2) This is an internal memo dated March 1, 1909.
This message announces the appointment of a manager.It is about 8.5\" by 5.5\", and is in good condition,
