This is a silver encased perfume bottle with stopper. The silver is in pristine condition and is labeled \"Sterling\". There is some residue of perfume at the bottom of the bottle. It measures 4 inches high and about 3 and 3/4 inches in width. There are no chips or imperfections, and the silver is wrapped tightly around the bottle. The glass itself appears fairly thick and substantial. I\'m not sure how old it is, but I remember my grandmother having it on her dresser. She was born in 1887. There are no markings other than the \"sterling\", nor are there indications of a maker. It is a very nice piece.
