Very beautiful Signed Persian Watercolor Suratgari miniature painting on Bone. It is framed with a Khatam Frame.

Suratgari figuralshave origins from the Persian Timurid Dynasty (1369-1500) where a national style of miniature painting was created.

Suratgarh is a city and a municipality in Ganganagar district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Khatam frame:A mini-mosaic, Persian-style frame exhibiting marquetry. Marquetry is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns, designs or pictures. Khatam is also the capital of Khatam County in Iran. Common materials used in Khatam Kari are inlaid gold, silver, brass, aluminum, and twisted wire. Artworks with smaller inlaid pieces are generally ore highly valued.
