Peter is a very detailed doll made by the Ideal Toy Corporation in Hollis, NY, circa 1960-1961. Model No. 1570-1.

He comes from the same estate as our Madame Alexander dolls. He is in very good condition for a 57 year old doll.
The original large box is included (39\" x 18\" x 9\"), and is in average condition for its age.
He will be safely packed in this original box with lots of soft packing material along with the original cardboard box braces.
Peter is 36\" tall, and is part of Ideal\'s \"Playpal Family\". His sister, Patti, is included in a separate listing.
Peter has blonde hair, green eyes, and is dressed in a white shirt, red jacket, gray slacks, and a gray hat.
Shirt collar and back has light stains.
He is wearing shiny black shoes.
His body has a few minor marks indicating that he was \"active\" at some time.
His eyes open & close, and his extremities operate. The only issue we found is that Peter\'s head flops around when he is moved. It is not rigid like his sister, Patti. We are not doll experts, so made no effort to explore \"doll surgery\" on Peter\'s neck. It is firmly attached, but not in the same condition as his sibling.

In the late 1950\'s to early 1960\'s, Ideal made dolls in a size to resemble young children. The main selling point of this series was the dolls were marketed as \"companion\" dolls\" for children, and Peter represented a three year old boy.
