Here is a phenomenal, garganous, Simon Halbig character girl with, a stunning face, huge almond shaped blue sleep eyes, marvelous old French human hair wig with long curls down her back, and her pretty much mint original, chunky body. She has a wonderful antique dress, fabulous antique undies where the pantaloons that button to the top, antique socks and shoes along with an exceptional stunning antique wool coat with wide lacy collar, matching huge brimmed bonnet and a fantastic antique fur muff. She was made for the french market and you can clearly see that from her huge almond shaped eyes and you can really see the delicate details in a head this huge. She is 40\" tall and marked S H 1079 DEP Germany 13. She was born in the later 1800\'s by the Simon Halbig Doll factory for the french market. She has fabulous smooth, creamy, oily bisque with no chips, cracks or hairlines and her coloring is fantastic. She has huge almond shaped, blue glass sleep eyes, all her eye lid wax along with heavy painted lower lashes. She has 4 teeth, full lips and her lip coloring is beautiful along with pierced ears and no chipping. She has a gorgeous long French human hair wig that is perfect. There are long relaxed curls down the her and wispy bangs that frame her face perfectly. Her original wood jointed and composition body is excellent condition and still retains the original finish. There is hardly any were even around the joints and her big chunky hands and fingers are perfect. This is wonderfully detailed huge, heavy, chunky body and is strung with original springs. Quite often these huge doll are strung with spring at least from head to leg as it makes them more sturdy and stand wonderfully. She is wearing a wonderful antique dress with long sleeves that buttons up the back. It’s a good dress with delicate lace around neck and fabulous embroidery work around the entire dress. It has an tighter empire waist with gathers so it flair’s out beautifully around the bottom with embroidered scalloped edges for the hem. The is a little thin here and there but really it’s her coat and bonnet that is the stunner on this girl. She has one piece undies where the pantaloons button to the top making the pants wonderfully full round the bottom. As you can see in the pictures you can pull the legs down for a longer pantaloons that’s tight around the legs or push them up so they are nice and full and can double as a full slip to help her dress hold it’s shape. She has marvelous long antique silk socks that are perfect and her antique shoes are outstanding with glass button still attached on the sides. Her shoes are real children\'s shoes of the time period and they fit this huge girl perfectly. It’s so hard to find any shoes to fit these immense dolls so it’s a treat when the come with anything on their feet. Now, check out her exceptionally beautiful antique wool coat. It has long tight sleeves with matching lace around the cuffs and it hooks up the front so it’s tight at the neck. Her coat has a normal collar edged with wide lace and a huge cap collar that goes all the way around from front up over the shoulder, around the back and the comes together then goes down the front. It has the same matching wide lace around the edges, just like the lace around cuffs and around the shorter collar above the longer cape collar. The coat is lined with a heavy material and looks to be nice and clean with no holes, rips or repairs. Her wide brim bonnet is exceptional and the same color and same wool as her coat with a huge, wide brim. There is a wire around the edges so you can bend the bonnet any way you want and it’s covered with rows and gathers and smocking along with delicate rows of lace and gathers on the brim and outside of her bonnet and the design of this bonnet is amazing. If her antique wool coat and huge brimmed bonnet isn’t enough, she also comes with her antique fur muff that’s just about perfect. It is silk lined and has no stains or rips and looks absolutely marvelous with her outfit. This huge girl is ready for winter and is fabulous as fabulous can be so if you have always wanted an immense, early Simon Halbig made for the French market she could be the one for you and would make a stunning addition to any collection or a fantastic surprise for that someone special on Christmas morning. This fabulous, huge, made for the french market 40\" Simon Halbig DEP 1079 Character Girl, now a days, sells for around $3000.00 and up but my reserve is less so don\'t let her get away.
