A Victorian rose high relief large oval picture frame in excellent condition. Estimating it if from the 1950`s period and would call it vintage rather than an antique frame. A cast or molded gesso relief on a solid wood oval base. Very solid and well constructed.
Great for many possible applications including paintings, photographs, dried flowers, collections, needle crafts and others.
Overall the frame measures, at its widest points on the oval, 22 in. x 19 in.. The frame is constructed from 3 in. wide wood with a 1 1/2 in height (thickness). The frame is made for artwork that measures 16 3/4 in. x 14 in. The inner offset or lip is 1/2 in. wide all the way around the oval.
