French Creek Placer, Park County, & The Hoffman’s

Three Great Reasonsfor Owning this 20A Claim

Fantastic DredgeClaim for Sale! Big Nugget Placer.

Become neighbors with the infamous“Discovery Channel Gold Rush Crew” now mining and prospecting in ParkCountyColorado. With over 1,000,000 square miles of public lands, this claim is approx.13 miles (as the crow flies) from the Hoffman’s, Freddie Dodge, and “The bestground” Jack Hoffman say’s they’ve ever worked”!

Located on the historically proven“French Creek”, this claim offers both placer mining and DREDGING!Approximately 5 mins south east of Breckenridge and N.E. of Fairplay; thisclaim lies within Colorado’s very wealthy, mineral belt.

History

By 1880, the Breckenridge MiningDistrict had established itself as one of Colorado’s premier Gold & Silverproducing regions. One of the first prospectors to work in the area was HarryFarncomb. He discovered an extraordinary deposit of wire gold known today as the“Wire Patch” that weighed an incredible 13 ½ pounds (approx. 216 ounces)!!!Also on a nearby hill, a huge lump of gold worth $200,000 (at the time) wasalso found!

French Creek

In 1869, a weathered 9 ½ ounce goldnugget was found in French Creek itself. Gold Flakes or Leaf Gold (found on, orvery near, this claim by us) has been found in exceedingly irregular masses inthis area. We have included a photo of a Gold Flake we found while sampling.Additionally, some of the past nuggets pulled from French creek show anassociation to the Wire Gold found in this area as mentioned earlier.

The largest nugget unearthed fromthis area and possibly all of Colorado, was discovered just north of this claimin French Gulch. It weighs an exceptional 9.3 pounds and is referred to as“Tom’s Baby”. This Nugget is the centerpiece of the Denver Museum of Nature andScience Mineral Collection, and can still be viewed and enjoyed Today at themuseum (see attached picture)!

From The Colorado School of Mines Oct 1911

There were two separate golddredges operating in the nearby French Gulch region. These were owned by theReliance Gold Dredging Company and the French Gulch Dredging Company. To ourknowledge this area of French Creek was never dredged and could prove to beprime placer territory.

The Lost “Tenderfoot Mine”

One of the many newcomers to thisarea was a “tenderfoot” who found approx. 20 pounds of Wire Gold S.E ofBreckenridge (this claim is S.E. of Breckenridge). Once filing his claim andproducing his find for all to see, he was never able to relocate thisincredible Gold Vein strike again! The Lost Tenderfoot Mine is still waiting tobe found!

About Us

We are two prospectors who live andprospect in Colorado. We are proud to say that we aren’t the biggest seller ofclaims on or anywhere else. If we were, we couldn’t possibly know eachclaim (we do occasionally sell) as intimately as we do!

We’ve sampled each claim ourselves,we’ve staked the corners and boundaries ourselves, and we personally stood faceto face with the BLM employees when we filed this claim. We will file your Deedto the claim with the very same BLM employees!

Therefore, we won’t hand you overto our legal department once you buy our claim! We too are the legal department! You deal with us and only us. If you’re buying a claim and have to deal withsomeone’s legal department, maybe you should ask yourself why? If you havequestions, ever, email us and we will personally respond. NOT OUR LAWYERS!!! Wetook the pictures ourselves and we camped on the property while marking thecorners- we can answer your questions!

Dredging

Yes, you can dredge on this claim! However, we know from “face to face” meetings with the two Forest ServiceRangers servicing Fairplay, you can only be assured of using a 2” or smallerdredge. Any dredge larger than 2” will require “permission” and also pay permitfees! Even with a 2” dredge, you must file a Notice of Intent with the ForestService in Fairplay. 2” or smaller is at no charge and, as of now, is yourright and you won’t be denied. Anyone telling you differently does not know thetwo Forrest Service Rangers like we do, and have not had the meetings with themas we have.

This Claim

Before the “Gold Rush” Hoffman Crewtook over 1100 ounces of Gold from Park County this past season, we had alreadyresearched, located, and filed this claim. We knew then that this area in ParkCounty was a Gold Rich Area and knew that we wanted to prospect and mine here. This was before the Hoffman’s showed the whole world on the Discovery Channel!

Whether it is dredging, sluicing,or panning, this claim offers them all. This claim has so many ledges and poolscreated by waterfall after waterfall, they are too numerous to count! Inaddition to all that the infamous French Creek has to offer, unbelievably thereis a dry creek bed running along side French Creek that has exposed bedrock andliterally thousands of “traps” that could contain gold! This claim has seriouspotential! We found flakey gold in our sampling and that is highly favorableand somewhat rare in Colorado (at least in our experience).

Michigan Creek Road cuts throughthe claim so access is not an issue. You can get to it with a 2 wheel compactcar if necessary. There is also a forest service gate at the beginning of aroad that enters the claim and runs along side a huge portion of the creek. Youcan file for access though this gate with the forest service.

This 20 acre placer claim has manyexisting camp sites, hundreds of feet of French Creek as it winds thru theproperty, and many ATV trails in the area to enjoy.

Youare purchasing the mineral rights only, not the land! You can camp up to 2weeks at a time and need permission to camp longer. Within 100’s of feet ofthis claim, we have seen Moose, Lynx, and there are fish in the Creek!

Similar claims on French Creek have sold for more than $3700. Don\'t wait for someone else to take this amazing claim out from under you, offer now!
